2008 is an EARTH Rat Year:
Expect charm to work this year, and innovation to be welcomed.  If you're charming enough, you can even weave in a little brash but honest confrontation -- as long as you follow it with an expression of endearment.  Thrift is in play in a Rat year, but so is favoritism.  Those who hold us dear may bestow bounty, but no one else will.  Therefore, we need to be collectors and pay attention to bargains as the thrifty rat does.  Shop the junkyards for parts necessary to complete your innovation, stock up on toilet paper or ink cartridges on sale.  The Year of the Rat is good for writers, as Rat is the writer of the Lunar signs, due to his clever mind.  2008 also gives opportunities to gather information, and an ease in meeting and overcoming challenges.  This is a year when being industrious pays off and charm is the ticket.  Rats are especially bonded to their families, which makes 2008 a year to pay attention to them, or even begin one.  The focus of an EARTH Rat year is discipline and security.  Work, rather than speculation, is the way to success in the time of an EARTH Rat.  This requires patience.  Slowly, and only slowly, gradually, but surely, effort pays off.
